A great workshop with Rebecca
On Saturday 8th June several members of Waterside Art Group attended a workshop run by Rebecca Hurst. Rebecca was enthusiastic and encouraged us to explore new methods of making marks to help us loosen up with our paintings.
We started the morning by using sticks, cardboard, sponge and even a pine cone with ink to make marks on a sheet of paper. Then we tried painting flowers using some of these new ideas.
In the afternoon we tried different landscapes working from photos Rebecca had brought along. We all loved the painting done using the pine cone for the grass textures. We all had a very enjoyable day and left with lots of ideas.
