Art Work © Sheila Cook
I enjoyed drawing and painting from an early age but was put off by a teacher in senior school and so I didn’t touch art again until my fifties. I am mainly self taught, a new member of the Waterside Art Group and exhibited for the first time with them last year.
I also attend a weekly art class run by John Edwards and undertake regular workshops with local art teachers.
I use acrylics, watercolours and pastel as well as experimenting with mixed media but seem to return to pastels as my medium of choice. Still very much learning in all of them.
